These new tools enable tests to be developed in the same programming language as the application. Behavior Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Cucumber and SpecFlow extend this benefit even further, enabling business rules to be captured in natural language for superior test reporting and functional test coverage. BDD dramatically improves quality by involving the product owner (user), analysts, testers, and developers to work together on test specifications.
Ariel specializes in development, mentoring and training, helping to jump-start test automation efforts – including integration with Continuous Integration (CI) servers and custom reporting. We recently developed nearly 1,000 high quality tests using SpecFlow and C# for a mission-critical application with a 12-year old code base of nearly 2M lines of code.
